I sighed, unsurprised by his lack of manners. Expecting Aiden to knock was like expecting rain in the desert, pointless. Ignoring him, I returned my focus to the document in front of me. Whatever he had come for was undoubtedly not urgent, he just loved annoying me to death.

“Heyyyyy Smiiiiith…ARE YOU IGNORING YOUR BEST FRIEND?” he whined, dragging out every syllable like a child.
